Hi! I'm Morgan.
I'm a lover of all things digital and an ABD Ph.D. candidate in Media and Public Affairs at the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University.
I hold an M.A. in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Alabama, and I double-majored in Mass Communication (B.A.) and Music Industry Studies (B.S.) at Loyola University New Orleans.
My research uses mixed-method approaches to examine platform governance, political communication, and the socio-political implications of digital media in the United States, with particular attention to content moderation, political expression, and online community formation.
I am affiliated with LSU’s Social Media Analysis and Content Creation (SMAC) Lab and the Digital Cognition and Computational Analytics Lab (DiCCAL). Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked in digital advertising and media strategy for both regional and global advertising agencies, where I managed strategic campaigns for government and commercial clients.
